Therapy For

Eating Disorders

Our body is our longest relationship, and yet it is often the one most neglected.

Did you know that eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes and look different from person to person?

If you find yourself…

  • Frequently preoccupied or distressed with your body
  • Trying to change your body through behaviors around food and exercise
  • And/or feel like you lose control around food

Then you may be struggling with disordered eating.

For some, their relationship with food and body can be further damaged by difficult life experiences and other mental health struggles.

This can lead to seeking a sense of control, safety, and comfort through an eating disorder.

This can quickly become a vicious cycle which may feel difficult to find your way out of without support.

The truth is, we live in a culture that encourages and praises disordered eating and body hatred.

So it’s no surprise that many find themselves struggling from a very young age with their relationship to their body and food.

This is why my practice operates from a:

– Trauma-Informed
– Health At Every Size ®
– Anti-Oppressive Framework.

So What Does Therapy Look Like?

First, healing is not linear.

It is a journey of self-discovery through learning to fully inhabit and care for your body without an apology.

Together we’ll deconstruct harmful narratives you’ve learned about your body and food.

We’ll explore your own personal body story, learn new ways of relating to and caring for your body, and find supportive tools for coping with life stressors.

I will support you in moving away from the rules and “shoulds” around food so you can reconnect and listen to your body with attunement.

You keep worrying you’re taking up too much space. I wish you’d let yourself be the milky way.
