Therapy to help you feel more at home in yourself

Virtual therapy throughout California, Maine, Ohio, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin

I’m a somatic and relational therapist.

I work with adults healing from trauma, anxiety, and disordered eating.

I’m passionate about working from an identity-affirming, trauma-informed, and liberation-focused framework — which means we make room to look at how the systems you move through have shaped the way you see yourself.

My Story

What Led Me Here

In true therapist form, let’s start from the beginning…

As a kid, I carried a quiet belief that something was wrong with me. Growing up in a deeply religious community, nearly everything was moralized—body size, food, sexuality, even mental health.

It didn’t take long for shame to weave itself into the way I saw myself. I spent years trying to shrink, hide, and mask who I really was. Carrying that shame was exhausting, and eventually I knew something had to change.

Healing taught me something different: my worth was never the problem. The problem was the painful stories I had learned to carry about myself.

Therapy gave me the space to begin untangling those stories and to come home to myself. Somatic therapy, especially, helped me reconnect with my body, rebuild trust, and begin living in a way that felt more aligned with who I truly am.

I know my story isn’t your story.

Whatever brings you here, we’ll work together to support your healing and help you reclaim your life.

I strive to create an inclusive space that honors your lived experience.

Therapy is a relationship too, and I strive to remain mindful of how my own experiences or blind spots might show up in our work.

Outside the therapy room, I’m committed to doing my own ongoing work. Inside the room, we’ll also make space to explore the systemic layers that shape your experiences and how you move through the world.

- My Training & Experience -

Jessica Ogilvie (she/her)

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I’m an LMFT with a Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. Above any clinical expertise or therapeutic modality, I most value showing up as a full human in the therapy room. My clients often describe my approach as warm, intuitive, flexible, and infused with humor. I care deeply about offering compassionate, relational, and non-pathologizing care.

I approach all of my work through the lens of trauma and embodiment, helping people heal from the struggles that disconnect them from themselves—including religious wounds, attachment wounds, eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, and perfectionism. I’ve also had the privilege of training other providers in offering inclusive, compassionate, evidence-based care that honors the whole person. My graduate research focused on how experiences of marginalization impact health, a perspective that continues to shape my work today. In addition to private practice, my experience includes years in higher levels of care, supporting clients through intensive recovery from eating disorders and trauma.

With well over a decade of experience as a therapist, I remain growth-oriented and committed to ongoing training and consultation so I can provide the best possible care. I draw from a range of approaches—including Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and as a Certified Yoga Teacher also inform my work, offering additional pathways to reconnect with the body, expand awareness, and cultivate deeper connection with self, others, and the larger world around us.

And while I bring this training and experience into therapy, I am also just a fellow human navigating the ups and downs of being alive. Even in the most ideal circumstances, we all experience pain and suffering. I believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation, but through supportive relationships—with ourselves, with others, and with the earth.

The therapeutic relationship can be one of those spaces of connection, and I am always honored when someone chooses to step into that journey with me.
